Congratulations - you have almost completed your first week of CELDT preparation ! Here is your homework for this evening.
1. Today we covered introductions and thesis statements. On page 18 in the course pack, I would like you to select one of the two remaining topics and write an interesting introduction with a thesis statement. Check to see that your position on the topic is clear in your thesis statement. I will collect this tomorrow. Be sure to self-edit for grammar, verb tense and spelling errors.
2. Grammar: Conditionals
Here are some links to some very simple explanations to the conditionals. After reading the info on each link, at the bottom of the page, you will see some links to exercises.

Welcome to the CELDT
Hello Students,
If you have found your way to my blog, then you are one of the lucky ( !!) students who will study in the CELDT preparation course intensively for the next two weeks.
I must remind you that it is very important to attend all classes, as this is an intensive class and we will cover a great amount of information daily. Also, if you want to see progress you will need to participate in all class work and homework assignments.
Normally a course management system called "Moodle" is used for all university courses. However, because this is a special course offering and it does not fall into the regular university calendar, I am unable to upload assignments to a normal calendar. Therefore, I would like to use blogger.com to post all homework assignments and any special links to websites to consult.
You do not have to open an account on blogger, but if you want to post on this page, you will need an account. If you have any inquires related to the postings on this page, I encourage you to email me at sherryblok@videotron.ca
